The Tank with Built-In Bra is made from two breathable fabrics: Cotton and Modal.

Cotton is a highly breathable fabric that is mostly used in summer clothing. It is soft, versatile, easy to manufacture, and cost effective. It is a porous fabric that prevents the wearer from overheating. Organic cotton is made from the seeds of the cotton plant while synthetic cotton is made from a mixture of other fabrics such as polyester (hence the term “blended cotton'') but still retains its highly porous and breathable nature.

Modal is also a highly breathable fabric perfect for hot weather. It is often touted as an alternative to cotton. It is a semi-synthetic fabric made from beech tree pulp used in clothing. It is a form of rayon, another plant-based textile. Modal is often blended with other textiles such as cotton. It is considered luxurious due to its high production cost and soft feel. It is a flexible, durable, water absorbent, stretchable, and does not shrink. Most importantly, modal (on itself) is biodegradable.
